On this, Maaya's second birthday, I am extremely pleased to announce Tomine Maaya V2! She is voiced by NamiKya on youtube ( [link] ) and I'm very pleased with her results. This new voice even sounds a little like the old voice (in a good way)

Maaya's original voice wasn't very good, but I admit that that was completely my fault because I tried getting the voicer to record really high in an attempt to sound more "girly" but it was out of her range so the results were very breathy.

Tomine Maaya V2 is going to be a VCV hiragana voicebank with romaji support. After the release I will also release an additional oto.ini file which will make the voicebank support hiragana and romaji CV. In addition to the new voicebank, Maaya got a slight redesign as can be seen here [link] Differences from her old design include a single butterfly shaped bracelet instead of the two cuff bracelets, a longer vest, an altered pattern on her skirt (the diagonal pink stripe is now made up of little squares), her purse is now a waist pouch with a different pattern on the strap and a zipper instead of the screen thingy (also it no longer has a headphone jack because that was stupid), a gold coin keychain on the purse in addition to the panda one she already had, and although you can't see it in that picture, her boots have changed style to something a bit more like this [link] although she still has the striped stockings. The headphones from her old design are optional. The final change is the spelling of her name. Rather than using the sound kanji like the vocaloids, the "ne" in "Tomine" now uses the kanji for "root" because apparently Tomine is an actual surname (and the name of a train station surprisingly). So her full name is now spelled 富根マアヤ
